What is the recommended dose?
The recommended dose is 2-4 capsules a day. Do not exceed this dose unless you are being advised under the care of a health professional for short term use.
Can Curcumin+ be taken by people with diabetes?
Yes, it can be taken by those with diabetes.
Can I take in pregnancy and lactation?
No, it is best not to.
What is the recommended age for taking Curcumin+?
Curcumin+ can be taken at the age of 18 and above.
Does Curcumin+ have to be taken with food?
No, it does not. This makes it superior to standard turmeric and curcumin
What are the side effects of Curcumin+?
There should not be any side effects from taking 2-4 capsules of Curcumin+ a day for the majority of people. Over 4 capsules a day may result in minor digestive issues in a small amount of people. Other may get headache from smaller doses. Short term use of higher doses may be advised by health professionals. Generally, curcumin may thin the blood and so should be avoided before surgery. Do not use turmeric if you have gallstones or a bile duct obstruction.
Does Curcumin+ contain any artificial additives?
What allergens does it contain?
It does not contain any of the 14 allergens which must be shown on EU labelling. (Natural tocopherol derived from highly refined soy is used as an antioxidant within CurcuWIN but it is exempted from labelling as per Regulation (EU) No.1169/2011 as this is such a tiny amount.)
Where are the products made?
Are you sure the ingredients are genuine and free from contaminants?
Absolutely – the manufacturers have a long and strong history of quality assurance and compliance with international standards. They also do their own in-house analysis of each ingredient looking for purity and authenticity.
Are the supplements organic?
These are completely natural products but they are not organic.
Should I take Curcumin+ at a certain time of day?
Can I take Curcumin+ with my usual supplements such as glucosamine, multivitamins and omega 3 etc?
Storage: Do I have to keep Curcumin+ in the refrigerator?
Curcumin+ should be stored in a cool dry place. Storage in the refrigerator is acceptable.
Are there any concerns with taking Curcumin+ while I am on prescription medications?
Taking turmeric/curcumin along with medications that also slow clotting might increase the chances of bruising and bleeding. Some medications that slow blood clotting include aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), diclofenac (Voltaren, Cataflam, others), ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, others), naproxen (Anaprox, Naprosyn, others), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, warfarin (Coumadin), and others. Curcumin inhibits cytochrome 3A4 enzyme, altering the metabolism of some prescription drugs. But according to conflicting data, short-term use of curcumin may not result in a clinically relevant interaction.
Can I take Curcumin+ before surgery?
No, always check with your surgeon first.
How long will it take for me to feel the effects of the supplements?
Just as the effects of a healthy diet are long term and are seen over a lifetime, it is difficult to say when you would feel an observable effect from supplements. However, we do know that it is always important to maintain a balanced diet for good health.
Do I have to take Curcumin+ every day? Can I take every alternate day?
Yes, but it may be best to take every day if you want to obtain the desired effect.
If I cannot consume capsules, what are the other alternatives to taking Curcumin+?
You can open the capsule and pour the ingredients into your cold or warm food/drink.
Are the supplements kosher or halal?
CurcuWIN is kosher and halal certified. Although the capsules alone are vegan and are suitable, they do not hold a religious certificate. The supplement Curcumin+ collectively does not hold religious certification.
