What’s in Happy Tum?

A vegetarian capsule contains  Curcumin (CurcuWIN®), hypromellose capsule shell, low caffeine green tea extract (0.1 to 0.5% caffeine), rice bran, vitamin D3 (from cholecalciferol).

Is Happy Tum vegan?

Happy Tum is not vegan; the vitamin D is sourced from non-slaughtered lambs wool.

Is there any published scientific evidence of a benefit for Happy Tum?

The UK’s Medicines and Health Regulatory Authority (MHRA) has classed Happy Tum as a food supplement and not a medicinal product so the label cannot recommend it for any medical condition.

What is the recommended dose?

2 capsules can be taken daily. A clinical trial in IBS patients is underway using 4 capsules a day.

Can Happy Tum be taken by people with Diabetes?

Happy Tum can be taken by those with diabetes.

What is the recommended age for taking Happy Tum?

Happy Tum can be taken at the age of 18 and above.

Does Happy Tum have to be taken with food?

No, but you can if you wish.

Can I take it if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

No, the safety of Happy Tum in pregnancy and lactation has not been established.

What are the side effects of Happy Tum?

No side effects from consumption are known.

Does Happy Tum contain any artificial additives?

Only natural preservatives, colours and flavours are used.

What allergens does it contain?

It does not contain any of the 14 allergens which are listed by the EFSA.

Where are the products made?

Happy Tum is made in England.

Are you sure the ingredients are genuine and free from contaminants?

Absolutely – the manufacturers have a long and strong history of quality assurance and compliance with international standards. They also do their own in-house analysis of each ingredient looking for purity and authenticity.

Are the supplements organic?

These are completely natural products but they are not organic.

Should I take Happy Tum at a certain time of day?

No, Happy Tum can be taken any time of day.

Can I take Happy Tum with my usual supplements such as glucosamine, multivitamins and omega 3 etc?

Yes you can take with any other supplement.

Storage. Do I have to keep Happy Tum in the refrigerator?

Happy Tum should be stored in a cool dry place. Storage in the refrigerator is acceptable.

Are there any concerns with taking Happy Tum while I am on prescription medications?

There may be herb-drug interactions with green tea. Check with your pharmacist before purchasing.

Can I take Happy Tum before surgery?

Always check with your surgeon, we can see no reason not to.

How long will it take for me to feel the effects of the supplements?

Just as the effects of a healthy diet are long term and are seen over a lifetime, it is difficult to say when you would feel an observable effect from supplements. However, we do know that it is always important to maintain a balanced diet for good health.

Do I have to take Happy Tum every day? Can I take every alternate day?

Yes, but it may be best to take everyday to get the desired effect.

If I cannot consume capsules, what are the other alternatives to taking Happy Tum?

You can open the capsule and pour the ingredients into your cold or warm food/drink.

Are the supplements kosher or halal?

The ingredients are suitable for those following a kosher or halal diet, although we do not hold certification for the whole supplement.
