A vegetarian capsule contains hop extract and Rice Bran. Our hop extract contains a higher concentration of one of the hop flavonoids- xanthohumol.

Is there any published scientific evidence of a benefit for Xanthohumol+?
The UK’s Medicines and Health Regulatory Authority (MHRA) has classed
Xanthohumol+ as a food supplement and not a medicinal product so the label cannot recommend it for any medical condition. There is plenty of evidence on the use of hop extracts and xanthohumol in menopause, metabolic syndrome, including obesity and diabetes, sleep, and as an antioxidant in DNA damage and cancer. Are there phytoestrogens in Xanthohumol+?
Yes, the phytoestrogen content from the hop flavonoids with phytoestrogen activity is 0.3-0.5% of the 200mg hop extract.
Should I take if I have an oestrogen sensitive disease?
No. Different tumours, lumps and possibly endometriosis can display oestrogen receptors, which could theoretically encourage the disease to get worse when phytoestrogens come into contact with them. It is possible to test cancer cells for oestrogen receptors. It is always best to speak to your doctor about this.
What is the recommended dose?
One capsule of Xanthohumol+ can be taken daily. The clinical trials conducted on hop extracts in humans have been undertaken for up to 3 months duration.

What is the recommended age for taking Xanthohumol+?
Xanthohumol+ can be taken at the age of 18 and above.

No, the safety of Xanthohumol+ in pregnancy and lactation has not been established.
